VOLUNTEER
OUTLINE OF VOLUNTEER’S RESPONSIBILITIES: Event volunteers assist on the event day for set-up, guest assistance and registration or clean up. Volunteers may also choose to be involved in event planning.
SUPPORT PLAN: Event volunteers work under the direction of various members of the event committee, staff or other volunteers, who will provide task-specific training.
TIME COMMITMENT: Event day volunteers will typically be asked to commit at least 3 hours. Participation on an event planning committee typically requires larger time commitments over several months.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED: Depends on tasks.
BENEFITS: Depending on the type of event, volunteers may be able to attend the event free of charge or at a reduced price. All volunteers are invited to the King’s Day Brunch, and receive credit on our DutchKingsDay website. Event volunteers also have the opportunity to make new friends.

PART-TIME INTERN EVENT COORDINATOR:
Are you a talented, enthusiastic all-rounder who loves to organize an be part of team? Then we have a challenging internship for you.
You will be partly responsible for
– General tasks for the preparation of the event
– Search for volunteers (recruitment / coordination on day of event)
– Promoting the event (social media, free publicity, etc.)
– Collaboration with local community (near homes, schools etc.)
We invite you also to think about the logistics, recruiting sponsors and how we can do better over all.
This is a part-time position and requires flexibility, creativity, independence and especially self-discipline. The position is unpaid. You live in SoCal, preferably in or around LA. The internship period is from January to May 2016.
